ReleaseAlert is a Chrome extension that detects YouTube trailer videos and saves release date reminders locally on your device.

Data Collection

ReleaseAlert does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The extension does not collect:

• Personal identifiable information
• Browsing history
• Location data
• Financial or payment information
• Authentication credentials

Local Storage

The only data stored by ReleaseAlert is the list of movie/series reminders you choose to save. This data is stored exclusively on your local device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your device.

Permissions

• YouTube access: Used only to read the video title on YouTube pages to detect trailers. No data is collected or transmitted.
• Storage: Used to save your reminders locally on your device.
• Alarms: Used to schedule daily checks for upcoming release dates.
• Notifications: Used to notify you when a saved release date is approaching.

Third Parties

ReleaseAlert does not share any data with third parties. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
